That means these students have a 504 plan or an IEP and receive support from one or more of the following:

nurse

speech and language pathologist

social worker

counselor

occupational therapist

psychologist

educator to students with visual impairment

diverse learner educator

paraprofessional

The Skinner North Diverse Needs Committee aims to support an inclusive community for all students with focused efforts toward those with an IEP or 504 plans.

As a group of involved parents, teachers and administrators, we will work collaboratively to build a productive and enriching environment for all of our children by providing parent support, discussing best practices, identifying potential needs, answering questions and having educational speakers and forums, while maintaining the individual rights of students with IEP and 504 plans. We invite all parents, teachers and administrators to join our group as it involves all of us; however, participation is voluntary and will not impact individual special education services.
